A Jersey City man has been arrested for the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Rasheed Raysor, who was gunned down in broad daylight on May 9, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Dominique Green, 23, of Jersey City, was charged with murder, possession of a firearm for unlawful purposes and unlawful possession of a firearm, Suarez said in a statement.
On Friday at approximately 1:40 p.m., detectives of the Prosecutor’s Office arrested Green in connection with Tuesday’s shooting death of Rasheed Raysor on Woodlawn Avenue in Jersey City, officials said.
Green was arrested near the intersection of Bramhall Avenue and Ocean Avenue, authorities said.
On May 9, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Jersey City police responded to Woodlawn Avenue after receiving multiple 911 calls of shots being fired in the area, police said.
Upon arrival, the responding officers found a lifeless body at 95 Woodlawn Ave. in Jersey City. The deceased man was identified as Raysor, 19, of Jersey City, who suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body during the incident, officials said.
Authorities said he was pronounced dead at approximately 3:50 p.m. and the state Medical Examiner determined the cause of death as gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate the case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
