A 61-year-old man has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man downtown that occurred in broad daylight on Friday, Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.

Roberto Camacho, 61, of Jersey City, is charged with murder, felony murder (during the commission of a robbery), and robbery, Mello said in a statement.
He was arrested at the Hudson County Correctional Facility yesterday, where he has been detained since the crime occurred.
Shortly after 12:20 p.m. on Friday, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a stabbing in the area of Jersey Avenue, 1st Street, and Maxwell Street.
Responding officers located an injured man – later identified as Joan Segovia, 26 – with an apparent stab wound to the abdomen. He was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 1 p.m.
The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest and the manner to be homicide.
Mello credited the HCPO Homicide Unit and the Jersey City PD with the investigation and arrest
