Prosecutor identifies Jersey City man shot to death on Thursday night

On December 1, Tyrone J. Wilson, age 26, of Jersey City sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. A preliminary investigation found that Wilson was transported via a private vehicle to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:40 p.m., Suarez said in a statement.

Jersey City police discovered there was a second victim of the shooting, who was found near the corner of Grand Prior Street. The second victim was shot once in a lower extremity, receiving treatment at the scene and later the Jersey City Medical Center, authorities said. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, which is being investigated by the Hudson County  Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
