Francisco Pereira, 31, of North Arlington, was arrested on March 3 and charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, two counts of harassment and one count of luring or enticing a child, authorities said.

On Thursday, February 16, 2017, a 19-year-old female student filed a report with the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office that she was being harassed by a teacher at County Prep High School located on Montgomery Street in Jersey City, officials said.

A subsequent investigation by the Sheriff’s Office led to two additional victims who are 17-year-old female students from County Prep High School, police said.

After his arrest, Pereira was held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility until he made his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court on March 4, 2017.

Pereira was released on his own recognizance, but with a no contact order for both the school and the victims, according to the prosecutor’s office.

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 27, 2017 in Hudson County Superior Court.
