Port Authority promotes 81 cops, including new inspector, 2 new deputy chiefs

The Port Authority Police Department promoted 81 officers, including a new inspector and two new deputy chiefs, at a ceremony at St. Peter’s University this morning.

The ceremony saw the promotions of 10 detectives, 42 sergeants, 18 lieutenants, four detective sergeants, two detective lieutenants, two deputy inspectors, an inspector and two deputy chiefs.

The department also held a moment of silence for their fallen brothers and sisters to conclude the event.

After the fact, Hudson County View had a chance to speak with Deputy Inspector Ronald Shindel and Deputy Chief Raymond Bryan.

Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye, Chief Security Officer Thomas Belfiore and Superintendent of Police/Director of Public Safety Michael Fedorko gave remarks during the ceremony, while Officer Milka Morin served as the master of ceremonies.
