A 68-year-old Bayonne man was driving northbound, in the right lane, on Summit Avenue in Jersey City when a pedestrian emerged from in between parked cars, with the driver claiming a woman “walked into his vehicle” at around 9:46 a.m this morning, authorities said.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old Jersey City resident, told police that she was crossing the street, didn’t see the white Nissan Sentra and “suddenly felt herself in the air” near the area of 588 Summit Ave., the police report says.

The woman complained of pain in her neck and left shoulder, also suffering abrasions in the accident, before being taken to Christ Hospital.

As of this writing, the driver has not been issued any summonses.
