Dowd said officers responded to a call of a robbery around 2:13 p.m. at the TD Bank on 7815 JFK Blvd, with the robber being described as a man standing somewhere between five-foot-five and five-foot-seven inches tall and weighing approximately 130 to 150 pounds.

Additionally, Dowd said the man was wearing a black North Face fleece jacket, black pants, a black cap, a dark blue bandana, sunglasses, white gloves and was also carrying an umbrella.

The man walked into the bank, allegedly handing a bank teller a note demanding cash, “with not verbal exchange at all” and approximately $500 was taken before the man fled west on 78th Street on foot, Dowd stated.

The police chief also said that the department is reviewing surveillance footage of the incident and that anyone with details in the situation should call The North Bergen Detective Bureau at 201-392-2092.
