A man was shot multiple times near the intersection of 19th Street and Avenue C in Bayonne yesterday and the shooter is still at large, police said.Â

Yesterday at around 1:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of 19th Street and Avenue C. Upon arrival, a male victim was discovered with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg, according to Police Lt. Eric Amato.
The shooter had already fled the scene by the time police arrived and the current condition of the victim is unknown, authorities said.
The Bayonne Police Department’s Detective Bureau is asking anyone with any information about the incident to contact Det. Murphy at 201-858-6925.
