Police: Man arrested for robbing Bayonne store, injuring two workers

A Jersey City man was arrested yesterday for injuring two Bayonne convenience store employees in the midst of a robbery and then fleeing the scene, police said. Bayonne police

Peter Kiula, 24, of Jersey City, was charged with robbery and shoplifting, according to Police Capt. Joseph Scerbo.

Kiula is accused of injuring two store employees at “a commercial establishment on North Street” after committing theft, authorities said.

He was located and arrested at an undisclosed location on Avenue E a short time later, officials said.
