A Nutley man was arrested over for the weekend for allegedly groping a woman and masturbating while in the parking deck for a Secaucus gym, police said.

Jason Rosario, 24, of Nutley, was charged with criminal sexual contact and lewdness on Saturday, according to Police Capt. Dennis Miller.
On March 1, 2017 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Rosario is accused of following a 33-year-old female to the fourth level of the parking deck for LA Fitness, located 485 Harmon Meadow Boulevard, officials said.
While following the female, Rosario allegedly grabbed the victim’s “intimate parts†while he was masturbating, authorities said. The female was not injured during the incident and the suspect fled the area.
Almost two weeks after the incident, the victim observed Rosario in the same area and notified the Secaucus police, who made the arrest on Saturday, March 18, officials said. Rosario was later released on a summons.
In a statement, Secaucus Police Chief Kevin Flaherty commended the victim’s courage and restraint in this situation for not confronting her alleged assailant and providing police with vital information to help bring this case to closure.
