Julius Walker, 37, with a Hoboken address but identified as being homeless, was charged with possession of a handgun, hindering apprehension, tampering with evidence and bail jumping, according to Police Det. Sgt. Edgardo Cruz.

During a February 4 arrest where Diego Castellanos was arrested outside a local supermarket for possession of a BB gun, further investigation determined that Walker took the BB gun after Castellanos was disarmed and then fled the scene, officials said.

After warrant complaints were generated, authorities came across Walker while patrolling near the Light Rail station on 2nd Street, where he was stopped and placed under arrest.

He was then processed at police headquarters and remanded to the Hudson County jail, authorities said.
