Yesterday at approximately 1:53 p.m., Bayonne police were dispatched to 110 Oak St., the location of Suez Water, on a report of a dead fetus, according to Police Lt. Timothy Wingus.

The fetus was found by a Suez employee in the liquid solid separator system and was removed by the state Medical Examiner’s Office, authorities said.

Officials added that this is an active investigation and anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to contact the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau at 201-858-6952 or call the department’s tip line at 1-877-900-8477.
