Police: Bayonne 7-11 worker doused in hot coffee as man steals Oreos

A Bayonne 7-Eleven employee was doused in hot coffee after a man fled the store with a package of Oreos valued at $4.59, police said.

At about 9:56 a.m. on Sunday, a man pushed past a 7-Eleven, located at 463-467 Avenue C, store clerk as he fled the store with a package of Oreos valued at $4.59, according to Police Capt. Janine Foy.

Hot coffee was spilled on the attendant during the incident but the store employee refused medical attention, officials said.

The robber’s identity is known and an arrest warrant is pending, authorities said.
