A 5-year-old boy received only minor injuries after being hit by a SUV on 32nd Street in Bayonne this afternoon, police said.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., an SUV struck the boy while he was crossing 32nd Street between John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Avenue C, officials said.
The 5-year-old suffered minor cuts and bruises as a result as of the incident and was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health to err on the side of caution, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation and no other details are currently available.
