Four men were arrested late Tuesday evening for choking, punching and robbing a 33-year-old Hoboken man of $60 and silver metal ring, police said.

Alfredo James 46, Anthony Andrew, 48, Antevious Gillespie, 29, all with no known addresses and Kyle Barnes 48, of Union, were all charged with robbery and conspiracy on Tuesday night around 11:50 p.m., according to Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo.
Additionally, Andrew and Gillespie were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, officials said.
On Tuesday night, a 33-year-old Hoboken man told Port Authority police that he had been at the Journal Square PATH Station entrance in Jersey City when he was approached and surrounded by four men, authorities said.
The suspects allegedly told the complainant “give us your money.” When the complaint refused. he was punched in the jaw and placed in a choke hold by the suspects, police said. His clothes were ripped in the encounter by the suspects who went on to forcefully remove his wallet, backpack. glasses and silver metal ring.
The victim asked for his property back and was given back his glasses and wallet, but only after the suspects had removed $60 from his wallet. PATH patrol officers responded to the scene and canvassed the area after receiving a description of the alleged robbers, officials said.
All four suspects were stopped in front of a Dunkin’ Donuts at the intersection Summit Magnolia Avenues in Jersey City by Port Authority police. The victim’s backpack containing mail addressed to the victim was recovered from the suspects, as well as his ring, authorities said.
The suspects were placed under arrest and transported back to the PATH Police command. During the search of the suspects the complainants silver ring was found in the pocket of Andrew, police said.
The victim’s money was not recovered. EMS was notified but the victim declined medical attention, officials said.
