Police: 3 New Jersey women busted in Secaucus prostitution sting

Three New Jersey woman were arrested last week in a prostitution sting by the Secaucus Police Department, officials said.

Nicole Menghi, 20, of Princeton, Thais Santiago, 32, of Secaucus, and Alexis N. Johnson, 21, of Red Bank, were charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution, according to Police Det. Sgt. Michael Torres.

Johnson was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a prescription drug legend, authorities said.

The three women were arrested in a prostitution sting in a Secaucus prostitution sting on December 8, police said.

The sting is part of an on-going operation conducted by the department in response to numerous reports and complaints regarding prostitution and drug activity, officials said, not disclosing the details of when or where the arrests took place.

Menghi’s bail was set at $20,000 with a 10 percent option, Santiago received a $5,000 bail with a 10 percent option, while Johnson’s bail was set at $25,000 with a 10 percent option, authorities said.
