“I’m a big support of Mayor Sacco’s. He runs a tight, successful ship here as mayor,” Murphy told Hudson County View. ” … I’m a fan of his, a support of his. I’m very happy to be here.”

When asked if the speculation that he would run in the Democratic primary election for governor in 2017, likely against Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, Murphy said “we’re looking at it very seriously.”

“Well, I can speak for myself, and that is we’re looking at it very seriously. We haven’t made any final decision, but I’m going around doing a lot of listening, and a lot of learning – that includes here in Hudson County – and we’ll see. This is a great state that needs adult truth-telling, leadership.”
