In an editorial, Hudson County Republican Party Vice Chairman for Communications Joshua Sotomayor Einstein opines on why recent actions of many New Jersey Democrats are “indicative of a party detached from reality.”
The recent uproar by many NJ Democrat politicians in support of illegal immigration, DEI, wasteful federal spending (which increases taxes), and against protecting women’s sports and spaces is indicative of a party detached from reality.
Poll after poll shows Americans support deporting illegal aliens who have committed crimes, ending racially based discrimination, ending deep-state special interest spending projects, and know that men do not belong in women’s locker rooms and bathrooms.
Despite these facts, the priority for Dem officer seekers is not representing the people but appealing to the “non-partisan” special interest organizations that are now more electorally important than ever after NJ abolished the official county line in primary elections.
Rather than steer their party to some semblance of sanity, NJ Democrat leaders are steering theirs against commonsense Americans and for an extreme minority of “non-profit professionals” who push nothing but an unending culture war of bad policies the people reject.
NJ Democrat leaders are doubling down on division and have decided that most voters, including rank and file Democrats, Republicans, and independents, are morally wrong for prioritizing upholding the law over keeping a constant flow of illegal aliens who undercut American workers.
The Dems demonize those who want American taxes to support Americans first, not foreign nationals illegally in America or foreign nations. They pretend everyone who believes in race neutral meritocracy is a racist.
They say those opposed to drag queen story hour for children are bigots, while never organizing drag queen story hour for any other age nor bringing “heteronormative” sexual dancers to “read” and perform for children (which would be equally abhorrent).
The NJ Democrat candidates and leadership are out of touch and out of their minds. Half their proposed solutions are in search or problems that do not exist but are in the service of special interests.
The other half is doubling down on abject failure – i.e. raising taxes, growing government, and manufacturing more regulations – all of which increase poverty, shrink affordability, kill jobs, and increase crime.

In your opening paragraph,JS, you mischaracterize many NJ Democrat politicians in each one of your four assertions. On what you coin illegal immigration, while both sides concede the dirty water should always be effectively discharged, your side ( only) throws out the baby with it. You and your family wouldn’t think twice about fleeing a homeland that subjected you to violence or economic injustice, but now that you ar an American, you cast your nose upward, and away from the plight of these desperate people. How sad for you, you hypocrite. I noticed you didn’t mention the BI-PARTISAN Border bill that Trump demanded your side withdraw its support of so Biden could not claim any credit. Instead YOUR PARTY censured the very conservative Oklahoma Senator who helped craft that bill. So you, as a Jew, are against equity and inclusion? What did you think, JS, of all those MAGA WHITE GENTILES carrying torches at that Virginia rally during Trump’s first term carrying torches saying “We will not be told what to do by Jews!” A rally where a very white, right wing MAGA guy drove into a peaceful group of counter protesters, killing one? An event that Trump said there where good people on both sides? On your third point in your opening paragraph, of course, all, ( possibly with one exception) of the example Trump cited as waist full examples of Federal spending in his recent speech to Congress are legitimate examples of such. However, it was only the substantial blowback, mostly from outraged Democrats, to DOGE’s unfettered actions , that caused Trump to walk back the original Carte Blanche he gave the unelected Musk authority to do.Of course, your strongest argument is in protecting women’s sports. The President’s use of the young woman present at his recent speech to Congress whose vision was significantly negatively impaired by an athlete who was not born female, was highly effective, and he does deserve credit for bringing this to our attention.
Your 2nd paragraph employs the de-humanizing term ‘illegal alien.’ Perhaps you might consider the works of a fellow Jew, Martin Buber, who strongly advocated for all good people to consider others as “thou”, rather than as an other. We are all in this together, JS, and God has no favorites: we are ALL his Children. It is not God, who told Jacob to betray his older (twin) brother to deceive their father Isaac into giving him his father’s Blessing to the exclusion of his other son. Some of whom you cavalierly call ‘illegal aliens’ are probably more righteous than you or I, in Hod’s eyes. When you say ‘have committed crimes’ you do mean, having been convicted of crime and having exhausted all appeals, do you not? When you say men do not belong in women’s locker rooms, you must be precise in what you mean. Is this at all gyms or just on scholastic and professional sports teams? ( I agree with you on the latter two.)
You did not mention examples of ‘non partisan’ special interest groups who you say Democrats seek to represent over ‘the people.’ But also, you failed to mention the NRA. On one metric, it is ‘non partisan’ in that it does give favorable ratings to any legislator, regardless of Party, which advocates and votes for its favored legislation.
