“This will be the fourth year that Team North Bergen will be participating in the Police Unity Tour. Our team has grown significantly this year. Each participant is expected to raise $1,800. Any help to reach our goal is appreciated,” the officers wrote on their GoFundMe page.

The Police Unity Tour is a four-day endeavor where New Jersey officers will bike 300 miles to the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial in Washington D.C. The ride is to honor those officers who were killed in the line of duty.

According to the Police Unity Tour’s official website, this year’s arrival ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 12, with the 27th annual candlelight vigil taking place the following day: Saturday, May 13.
