“In America, we have No Kings. We are showing up together again on March 28. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option,” the official No Kings Day website says.

“We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people.”

The march/rally is organized by Knitty Gritty JC, along with Hoboken Resist, Hudson County Young Democrats, Jersey City High School and College Democrats, and Indivisible Jersey City.

Protesters will gather at Newport Green Park in Downtown Jersey City at 9:30 a.m. and will march along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway to the rally at Hoboken’s Pier A, located at 100 Sinatra Drive, with a planned start time of 10:15 a.m.

Joining the electeds in delivering speeches will be Mo Kinberg from the Working Families Alliance, Aleixa Diaz from Spirit of Liberation (SOL), John Butler from tje ACLU, Eliot Lukacz from The Alliance JC, Stephanie Campos from Eyes on ICE, among others.

There will also be performances from Drag Kings and Jersey City Resistance Choir, organizers said yesterday.

  1. The only official worth listening to is Menendez — he has a voice in Washington. Solomon should be spending all of his time fixing Jersey City’s financial mess and Bhalla/Brennan will speak senselessly any time a microphone is placed in front of them.
Yes, Trump has created quite a mess — but in smaller ways, so did Mayors Fulop and Bhalla, and former Governor Murphy. School Boards across the state are in financial free fall. Newly elected Mayors such as Solomon and Jabbour were actually complicit in creating the financial fiascos they claim to have inherited. We have plenty to march about….
