In a letter to the editor, Jersey City activist Mahsiah Imes says “we cannot allow Dr. Lyles and her buddies to destroy this district,” citing a number of his concerns. 
Dear Editor:
From a scandalous Superintendent to certain board members and school administrators who are in her clique just to get what they want, enough is enough! It’s time to focus on the needs and concerns of the students in this district.
Time after time and board meeting after board meeting Jersey City Students and Education activists have spoken up on the needs of the students.
A few months ago I spoke about the need of air conditioning in the classrooms and spending money on us the students. None of those concerns have been fulfilled as of yet.
How are students supposed to concentrate in sweltering hot classrooms? We need a new superintendent!
Dr. Marcia V. Lyles is known for her hiring of strike force security guards, top heavy administrators (some are even know to harass students who speak up), contracting with source4teachers where a substitute teacher slapped a student in the face, cramming Innovation High school into Snyder high school’s building taking away from hundreds of students who belong in that school and don’t come from around Jersey City and the list goes on.
We cannot allow Dr. Lyles and her buddies to destroy this district. Before we go back into local control we need a new superintendent and a forensic audit for the Jersey City Board of Education.
We need to know where the money is going and why it’s not being spent in the best interest of the students.
