Dear editor,

MELINDA SAUNDERS (4J) is the voice of the parents currently missing on our school board. We believe that Melinda, along with the rest of her Save Our Schools (SOS) slate, Ron Scheurle (1J), and Alex Navas (2J) will bring the majority needed on the Board of Education to restore it back to the people of West New York, and away from the hands of politicians.

This is an important election for the West New York Board of Education, and it brings a great opportunity to bring in some new faces and new ideas.

We empathize with school employees, who have worked without a contract since the summer of 2015, and feel concerned when we read about recent water tests conducted in our schools.

We support MELINDA SAUNDERS for the West New York Board of Education, and we believe she will be an advocate for our students, parents and teachers.

Apoyamos a MELINDA SAUNDERS para la Junta de Educación de West New York, porque va a ser una defensora de los estudiantes, padres y profesores.

We, the undersigned, are excited about the possibility of change on November 8th.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this letter included Wayne Cook’s name, but he has since told us that he was on the list of SOS supporters “to cause confusion and deceive” residents. As a result, his name has been removed and he stated unequivocally that he will be supporting the Children First team on November 8.
