Hoboken mayoral hopeful DeFusco’s council slate submits 1,584 petitions

Hoboken 1st Ward Councilman/mayoral hopeful Mike DeFusco’s council slate of Michael Flett, Vanessa Falco and Andrew Impastato submitted a combined 1,584 petitions for nomination to the city clerk’s office earlier today.

“The support our entire team has received from our Hoboken neighbors has been truly energizing as we’ve gone door to door, seeing old friends and meeting new ones and spreading our message of new energy and new ideas for our city,” DeFusco said in a statement.

“I believe that our Council team of Michael Flett, Andrew Impastato and Vanessa Falco is a true representation of the best of our city and I know that they each possess the diverse range of experiences and perspectives necessary to ensure that all Hoboken residents feel well represented on the Council.”

The first trio of council candidates to file as a slate with a mayoral candidate, Flett submitted 526 petitions, Impastato filed 540 petitions and Falco handed in 518 petitions, respectively.

DeFusco, who had previously filed 564 petitions for his mayoral run last month, submitted an additional 250 petitions to bring his total up to 814.
