Jersey City businessman and activist, Bruce Alston, continues his pursuit for the NJ Assembly seat despite Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis support for the HCDO ticket – which includes Jersey City at-Large Councilwoman Joyce Watterman and Attorney Nicolas Chiaravalloti.

The support of the HCDO typically paves the way to winning the Democratic Primary, which will be on June 2, 2015.

In his interview with Hudson County View, Alston also revealed that his sudden decision to drop out of the race had nothing to do with Senator Sandra Cunningham’s decision to back the incumbents, Charles Mainor and Jason O’Donnell.

In addition to disclosing his campaign initiatives, the aspiring elected official explained his side of the story regarding the phone call to Councilwoman Watterman’s office before his announcement on returning to the race for the Assembly seat.
