The BMUA and city officials were informed of the issue around 4 p.m. today, noting that the “outage will effect [sic] water flow to approximately 35-40 individual connections along Broadway,” according to a post on the city’s website.

The message also notes that the Bayonne Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Office of Emergency Services, are closely monitoring the situation.

Mayor Jimmy Davis also tweeted that robocalls have gone out to residents that have been affected by the ruptured water line.
