A 33-year-old Bayonne man was sentenced to 38 years in New Jersey State Prison last week for an attempted murder in November 2022.

On Thursday, August 14th, Hudson County Superior Court Judge Daniel DeSalvo sentenced a Bayonne man to 38 years in New Jersey State Prison in connection with a shooting that occurred in Jersey City in 2022.
Elijah Wilson, 33, was convicted at trial of attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to have a weapon.
Wilson was sentenced to 30 years in New Jersey State Prison for attempted murder, which will run consecutive to an eight-year sentence for the certain persons not to have a weapon conviction.
The charges stemmed from a nonfatal shooting that occurred on November 5th, 2022, in Jersey City in the area of Clinton and West Side Avenues.

This is a lot of time for attempted murder. He must be of Afro-American persuasion.
