Steve Franklin, 39, of Jersey City, was charged with murder after his wife, Sineka Davis, 38, was found badly injured inside their Manning Avenue home around 6 p.m. Thursday evening, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Davis died less than an hour later due to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound to the upper torso, authorities said.

Today, New Brunswick police revealed that they found a man dead inside of his car in the parking lot of the AMC Loews New Brunswick 18 movie theater.

Tap Into New Brunswick first reported the news, where New Brunswick Police Capt. J.T. Miller is quoted as saying the preliminary investigation suggests the man took his own life with a handgun.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office tweeted that the man found dead in New Brunswick was Franklin, who had not yet been located by authorities, although he was not identified by name.

A spokesman from the prosecutor’s office said no other information was currently available beyond what was written in the tweet.
