ACE Pro Wrestling put on a Saturday night show at the Jose Marti Freshman Academy in Union City to honor Michael Viruet, Jr. – who died in December from injuries sustained in a North Bergen car accident weeks prior.

Some of the evenings action included heavyweight champion Vince Steele defending his title against King Mega, while Danny Maff and Eddie Kingston defeated TJ Marconi and Stockade and a wild, no disqualifications, tornado tag team brawl.

Stealing the show was a scrap between ex-TNA superstar Jay Lethal and up-and-comer Rob Vegas.

In the main event of the evening, after over a half hour of action, William Wyeth won the inaugural Mike Morgan, Jr. Memorial Cup Battle Royale.

Hudson County View had a chance to speak with promoter Michael Viruet, Sr. about hosting his first show in his son, Michael Viruet Jr.’s, honor.

At National Law Enforcement Day in North Bergen last month, Police Chief Robert Dowd revealed that the driver of the vehicle, Rogelio Chavix-Tacen, had admitted to being heavily intoxicated when the accident took place.
