“Residents of 74th St & Blvd East were surprised by visitors this morning,” the department wrote on Twitter yesterday.

“The deer were led back to the wooded area along the Palisades[.],” they concluded.

Deer are occasionally seen walking through James J. Braddock Park, not far from the intersection where authorities noticed them yesterday, but are very seldom seen in residential areas.

Braddock Park is currently undergoing a $4 million lake wall restoration project, which is expected to be completed in the fall.
